David Wesley Phillips

David Wesley Phillips, age 22, of Marion, North Carolina, while surrounded by his family and friends, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at his residence.  A native of McDowell County, North Carolina, born on September 25, 1993, he was the son of David Dwayne Phillips and Genny Phillips Randolph, both of Marion. 

A loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend, who will be missed by all, Wesley enjoyed skateboarding and spending time on his computer.  He was a member of Outreach Baptist Church in Nebo.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Betty Radford; one sister, Cecilia Randolph; two brothers, Justin and Brandon Randolph; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.  He is also survived by many friends.

A funeral service to honor the life of Wesley will be held on Saturday, September 03, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Outreach Baptist Church in Nebo with Rev. Travis Toney officiating.  Burial will follow at Mountain Creek Independent Baptist Church Cemetery in Glenwood.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
