David "Tom" Miller

On the evening of Sunday, May 03, 2020, Mr. David “Tom” Miller, of Nebo, passed away at his residence with his loving family by his side. A son of the late Everett Owen Miller and Stella Baker Miller, Tom was born in Hamilton County in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

A United States Navy Veteran, Tom later served in the Naval reserves. A well-known member of the Dysartsville community, Tom was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan and enjoyed fishing. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Tom will be missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his beloved memories are his wife of twenty-seven years, Sandy Miller; four children, Chip Miller, David Miller Jr., Kim Maney (Mark), and Karen Staggs (Gregg). three brothers, Gene Miller (Barbara), Danny Miller (Nancy), and Eddie Miller (Denise). He also leaves behind several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

A private funeral service will be held at Beam Funeral Service with Reverend Pete McCombs and Mr. Jimmy Buckner officiating. Burial will take place at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
