David "Bill" Wright

David "Bill" Wright, age 47, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Sunday, February 25, 2018 with his loving family at his side at his residence in Morganton. Bill was born October 2, 1970 in Mitchell County, North Carolina to  William Sam Wright and to the late Victoria Phillips Lingerfelt.

Bill was a loving son, father, brother and grandfather. He enjoyed working on older muscle cars especially Ford Mustang’s. He was a friend to many and will be missed greatly.

In addition to his father, left behind to cherish his memories are his step-mother, Angie Hughes; his loving wife, Pamela Wright; three children, Chris Hicks (Stephanie Lowery), David “Little Bill” Wright and Amy Wright (Wayne Jones, II); six grandchildren, Landon Hicks, Lexi Wright, Levi Wright, Kylie Wright, Braylen Morton and Carson Jones; and seven siblings, Tammy Buchanan (Marvin), Lisa Pringle (G.C.), Sam “Little Sam” Wright (Sara Kral), Amanda Minnish (Wesley), Lindsay Cabe (Matthew), Jessica McNeese (Kenneth) and Sarah Calloway (Gallie).

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory.  A Funeral Service to celebrate Bill’s life will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverends Dennis Hensley and Jody Almond officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Sullians Branch Cemetery in Mitchell County.
