David Leonard Austin

Mr. David Leonard Austin, age 65, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, December 02, 2020 at his residence.

He was born in Buncombe County on February 06, 1955 to the late Pascal Jeff Austin and Bertha Mae Robinson Austin.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Austin worked in the maintenance department at the Hampton Inn in Marion. He enjoyed working on classic cars and spending time in the outdoors. He especially loved fishing and working in the garden. He will be remembered as a devoted family man who was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Brenda Calloway Austin; three children, J.B. Austin, Timothy Austin, and Terry Austin (Tracy); nine grandchildren, Holly, Jeremy, Caleb, Zachary, Jordan, Keith, Destiny, and Grayson Austin, and Heather Bates; and two great grandchildren, Garrett Austin, Jemma Bates, and one on the way.
