Darrell Buford Williams

Darrell Buford “Whitey” Williams, age 64, of Linville, NC passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Charles A. Cannon, Jr. Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. 

Whitey was born October 10, 1953 in Mecklenburg County, NC to the late William Williams and Dorothy Greene Biggerstaff.  He enjoyed life and loved to laugh.  He also enjoyed helping anyone in need.  His pride and joy were his beloved grandchildren.

Left behind to cherish Whitey’s memory are his wife of 45 years, Patty Dean Williams; his special dad, Boyd Biggerstaff of Linville; two daughters, Amber and Ginger Williams both of Linville; three grandchildren, KayLee Pitts, Jolene Pitts and Bentley Berkley; and three siblings, Danny Williams and wife, Susie of Spruce Pine, Carol Potter and husband, Billy of Boone and Boyd Biggerstaff and wife, Bambi of Linville.  Whitey also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Nelly, Honeybun, Weezer and Buttons.

A Celebration of Whitey’s Life will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the Chapman Center, 285 Hospital Drive, Linville, NC 28646.

Memorialization will be by cremation.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
