Darrell Stuart Freeman

Darrell Stuart Freeman, age 52, of Nebo North Carolina, passed away on Monday June 3, 2019 at his residence with is loved ones by his side.  Born at Marion General Hospital in Marion, North Carolina on September 23, 1966, he was the son of Jerry Stuart Freeman of Hickory, North Carolina and the late Bertha Craig Freeman. 

During his lifetime, Darrell spent most of his time outdoors.  Between logging, hunting, fishing and camping, he loved spending the days with friends and family over feasts from his grill.  Christmas was a favorite time with loved ones. 

Darrell is survived by his wife, Treeva Freeman; one daughter, Candace Buchanan and her husband, Shawn; one son, Adam Darrell Freeman and his wife, Tiffany;  three step-sons, Trevor, Travis and Lucas; one brother, Joey Freeman and his wife, Holly; two sisters, Cynthia Blackstock and husband, Glenn and Dail Gragg.  He is also survived by six grandchildren, Ayden, Lilly, Chris, Brooklyn, Macie and Jaydon; several nieces and nephews; and his canine companion, “Indy”. 

A celebration of Darrell’s life will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Dysartsville Baptist Church, 24 Club House Road in Nebo, with Pastor Doug St. John officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
