Darrel Eugene Gentry

Darrel Eugene Gentry, age 56, of Marion, NC passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Memorial Campus.

Darrel was born September 24, 1961 in McDowell County, NC to the late Oscar McKinley Gentry and Christine Freshour Gentry.    

Left behind to cherish his memories are his daughter, Ashley Hartsell (Toby); two grandchildren, Renleigh and Averie Hartsell; one sister, Teresa Gentry; one brother, Steve Gentry (Mimi); and his beloved dog and faithful companion, Bam.  Darrel was a good friend to all that knew him.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory.  A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Ronnie Gentry officiating.
