Darlene Laws Hall

Darlene Laws Hall, 71, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 at her residence while surrounded by her family.

She was born in Mitchell County on July 04, 1949 to the late Ottis Laws and Clara Lee Presnell Laws.

Darlene was a hard worker and had the strongest spirit. She enjoyed cooking for her friends and family, and they will especially remember her biscuits and gravy. Darlene was a Memaw to many. She helped raise many children from birth to adulthood, both family and friends. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bill “Tunnie” Hall, Jr., a sister, Helen Laws and a son-in-law Tony Moseman.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Moseman and Sandra Davis; two sons, Matthew Hall (Misty) and Thomas Hall; nine grandchildren, Heather Moseman, Jossalin Davis, Jeremiah Davis, Zackery Saunooke Hall, Justin Davis, Steven Davis,  Zachery Dewayne Hall, Ryleigh Blake and Deven Blake (Kaitlyn); two great grandchildren, Kharter and Kannon Brown; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. Reverends Steve Bugenhagen, Steven Davis, Bill Wilson, and Danny Sprinkle will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Community Cemetery.
