Danny Marshall Robinson

     Danny Marshall Robinson, 75, of Nebo, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at his residence.

     Danny was born in Yancey County, NC on October 29, 1946, to the late George and Callie Robinson. He was married to his wife of twenty three years, Doris Jean Loftis Robinson. He was a devoted Christian and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Marion. Danny was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was an uplifting servant to his family and community. Danny was a true gentleman and a role model for all. He will be greatly missed.

     In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by two sons, George G. Robinson and Christopher M. Robinson; a brother, Kurl Robinson; and a sister, Valree Smith.

     Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Doris Robinson of Nebo; a son, Scottie Shane Marshall Robinson (Joline) of Nebo; two step daughters, whom he loved as his own, Jennifer “Michelle” Burleson (Kirk) of Marion and Misty Dawn Farley (Eric) of Marion; five sisters, Wanda Strickland of Marion, Gordia “Pat” Robinson of Yancey County, Leta Shufford (Jim) of Yancey County, Deanna Robinson (Kathy) of Marion, and Ann Duncan of Spruce Pine; two brothers, Larry Robinson (Barbara) of Morganton and Joe Robinson (Teressa) of Arden; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and his guard dog, Little Man.

     A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Bethel Baptist Church in Marion. Rev. Jimmy Upton will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the Church.
