Daniel James “DJ” Brendle, age 26, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017. A native of McDowell County, he was born on February 7, 1991 to Cherry Inman Brendle and Daniel McCall Brendle.
DJ was very musically inclined and could play multiple instruments. He will be remembered as having a big heart and was known to put a smile on anyone’s face he came in contact with.
In addition to his parents, left to cherish his memories are a son, Lucian Alexander Ogle; a sister, Kerice Brendle Sheridan and husband Chris; two nephews, Collin and Noah; a niece, Madison; maternal grandparents Norma and Clarence Inman and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service to celebrate DJ’s life will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at New Testament Baptist Church, 1231 Highway 70, Old Fort, North Carolina with Reverend Harry Kidd officiating. Those wishing to share memories of DJ will be given the opportunity to do so at the service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to help cover DJ’s burial expenses be made to The Brendle Family, PO Box 1955, Old Fort, North Carolina 28762.
