Daisy Maria Street

Daisy Maria Musick Street, age 92, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Street was born June 11, 1925 in Mitchell County, North Carolina to the late Ebb Musick and Rosa Buchanan Musick. 

Daisy had worked for Drexel Heritage until her retirement. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Marion. Daisy enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Street, September 15, 2006; her son, Kenneth Roger Street; and her six siblings.

Left behind to cherish her memories are one son, Kenny Street (Nancy); daughter-in-law, Genevieve Ward Street; four grandchildren, Brian Street (Melissa), Sarah Proctor (Rhett), Martine Bryant (York), and Dee Dee Street; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to celebrate Daisy's life will take place on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Dr. Scott Hagaman officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.
