Curtis Dale McKinney

Curtis Dale McKinney, age 50, of Marion, passed away on Monday, January 09, 2017 at his residence with his family by his side.  A native of McDowell County, North Carolina, born October 25, 1966, he was the son of the late Donald and Doris Styles McKinney. 

A great husband, father, brother and pawpaw, who was well loved, and will truly be missed, Curtis enjoyed fishing and building street rods. He attended Trinity Hill Free Will Baptist Church. 

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Laura Davis McKinney; three children, Kyle McKinney, Christopher Poole (Sherry) and Ashley Martinez (Francisco); one sister Kim Ledford (Randy); one brother Ray McKinney (Gwen); eight grandchildren, Carter, Ryian, Mason, Zoheigh, Maddie, Oaklyn, Lily and Carlos; and several nieces and nephews.  Curtis is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, Dallas and Rose Davis; and his special canine, Trixie. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.

A private interment will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at McKinney Gap Cemetery.
