Courtney Danese Boyd

On the afternoon of Sunday, May 24, 2020, Miss Courtney Danese Boyd, age 26 of Marion, departed from this world unexpectedly. The daughter of Pamela Danese Mullins Boyd, and Tony Everette Boyd, Both of Marion, she was born on October 24, 1993 in McDowell County.

Known for her beautiful smile, Courtney was considered a friend to everyone she knew. She was always helping others and enjoyed music of all kinds. She loved playing basketball and spending time with her pets. She loved children and was always helping her friends with their children, whom she loved dearly. In fun, she was known to have collected her friends and family’s lighters and phone chargers. Courtney was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt and friend who would never say no to anyone and would always use her famous quote, “I GOTCHA”

Left behind to cherish her precious memories are her parents, Pamela Danese Boyd and Tony Everette Boyd; maternal grandmother, Judy M. Boyd; paternal grandmother, Devon Boyd; two sisters, Autumn Jean Boyd and Kirkland Devon Boyd; and two brothers, Aaron Joseph Boyd and Cody Michael Boyd; brother -in-law Paul Alkire, Nieces and nephews, Trenton, Preston, Summer & Trinity She also leaves behind a host of special friends, and family members. Julie, Shannon, Jessie, Christin, Brooke, Tyler, Sydney, Alaya, Cairra, Siarra, Derek, Jacob and her uncle Daniel Mullins and aunt Rebecca Riley, Aunt Trisha, and Aunt Melody.

A celebration of Courtney’s life will be held on Friday, May 29, 2020, at 4:00 P.M., in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service, with the Reverend Paul Boyd officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M., two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
