Corey Dalton Hitt

Corey Dalton Hitt, age 28, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on the evening of Thursday, January 10, 2019 at his residence.  The son of Steve Hitt of Marion and Renee Hitt of Leicester, he was born in Buncombe County, North Carolina on November 12, 1990.

Corey’s step grandfather, Clay Dellinger; and one uncle, Joey McCurry preceded him in death. 

An avid sports fan, Corey loved baseball and football, but was a huge fan of the New Orleans Saints, and he enjoyed carp fishing. Most of all, he loved his family, pets and was known to do anything for anyone.   

Left to cherish his memories are his father, Steve Hitt (Paula); mother, Renee Hitt (Bobby); his wife, Lizzie Hitt; paternal grandparents, Bill Hitt (Doris) and Patricia Hitt; maternal grandparents, Bonnie Dellinger; one sister, Celista Beaver; and one nephew, Brody Hinshaw. 

A celebration of Corey’s life will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Danny White officiating.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
