Colby C. Hendon II

Colby C. Hendon II, age 27, of Douglasville, Georgia and formally of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on the evening of Monday, October 07, 2019 at WellStar Douglas Hospital in Douglasville, Georgia.  The son of Rebecca Marler of Marion and the late Colby C. Hendon (1995), he was born in Cobb County, Georgia on January 07, 1992. 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Herman L. Cole (2010) and paternal grandfather, Larry C. Hendon (2017). 

Colby, who was known to be outgoing, enjoyed classic and muscle cars, was an avid fisherman, but most of all, he loved his family.

He is survived by his mother, Rebecca Marler and her husband, David; two brothers, Cameron Marler and Logan Marler; one sister, Caroline Marler; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Cole; and paternal grandmother, Dorothy Hendon.  Colby is also survived by aunts and uncles, Michelle and Anthony Ryerse and Deborah and John Streetman; and cousins, Aschli Ryerse, Taylor Ryerse, Autumn Ryerse and Dustin Streetman. 

A celebration of Colby’s life will be held on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service in Marion with Pastor Eddie Buton officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
