Clyde Leo Raffield

Clyde Leo Raffield, age 79, of Old Fort, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Mountain Ridge Wellness Center. A native of McDowell County, Clyde was born on June 8, 1942 to the late Jack and Oma Crisp Raffield.

He is preceded in death by two brothers, J.D. Raffield and Roger Raffield.

Clyde was known as an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and running his dogs. He mostly loved spending time with his family.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of fifty-eight years, Janet Ann Sircy Raffield; one daughter, Robin Ann Moore; one brother, Clark Raffield (Ruth); one sister, Phyllis Gibby; grandson, Andy Raffield (Samantha); one great-granddaughter, Calli Raffield and a sister-in-law, Jane Raffield (wife of J.D.).

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service with Reverend Darren Gibby officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
