Clifton Epley

Clifton Epley, 79, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Monday morning, August 01, 2022 at Mission Hospital McDowell.

He was born in Burke County on May 20, 1943 to the late Benjamin Leroy Epley and Katie Haskins Epley.

Mr. Epley worked at Henredon, EJ Victor, Universal, and Jarrett Brothers Furniture for many years. Furniture was not only his occupation; it was a hobby that he enjoyed very much. Clifton attended school in Glen Alpine and graduated from Marion Senior High School. He was a member of Mountain View #2 Baptist Church on Dysartsville Road. He truly loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Armenda Shuford; and six siblings, Charles Epley, Kenneth Epley, Margaret Robinson of Old Fort, Pat Ward, Dianne Hollar of Lenoir, and Elaine Harris.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Mountain View #2 Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
