Claudine Bulah Butner

Claudine Bulah Carpenter Butner, age 83 of Nebo, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 06, 2016 at Deer Park Health & Rehabilitation in Nebo.  A native of Mitchell County, North Carolina, born on August 04, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lennie Carpenter.

Claudine volunteered most of her time at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville.  A member of Bear Creek Baptist Church, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Junior Butner; and one brother, Harry Lee Carpenter.

She is survived by her brother, Joe H. Carpenter and his wife Frances; and numerous nieces, nephews; and great nieces and nephews, who truly loved her. 

A memorial service will be held Monday, October 10, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church with Mr. James David Gallion officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
