Clarence B. Tichenor

Mr. Clarence B. Tichenor, age 83, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Rose Hill Retirement Community in Marion. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii on May 25, 1934, Clarence was the son of the late RADM Murray and Dorothy Tichenor, and brother of the late Marjorie Carpenter.
A loving father and grandfather, Mr. Tichenor proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Spruce Pine First Baptist Church. In addition to his parents and sister, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Tichenor.
He is survived by one son, Ted Tichenor and his wife, Holly; and two grandchildren, Olivia and Harrison Tichenor.
A celebration of Clarence's life will be held, and will be announced once the date and time have been confirmed.
