Christopher Lee Sparks

Christopher Lee Sparks, age 41, of Nebo, North Carolina passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Duke University Medical Center after an extended illness. Born in Buncombe County, North Carolina on August 9, 1975, he was the son of Benny and Judy Sparks.

Chris was formerly employed at Broyhill Furniture Company and loved to go camping and fishing. He was a good friend to everyone he knew and never had a harsh word to say about anyone. He loved spending time with family and friends especially his niece Addisyn. Chris was preceded in death by his father Benny Sparks.

In addition to his mother Chris is survived by three sisters; Becky Sparks, Toni Sparks and Amanda Harrod; two brothers Mo Sparks and A.J. Harrod; a nephew Steven McKinney and four nieces Makayla Ward, Megan Ward, Aubrey Sparks and Addisyn Harrod; two great-nieces Olivia Harrod and Madelyn Harrod. Also surviving Chris is a very special best friend Jimmy Mosteller.

No services are planned at this time but the family wishes to receive friends at their home on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
