Christine Ellison Craig

On the morning of Wednesday, February 16, 2022, Christine Ellison Craig passed away at UNC Health Blue Ridge. She was born on May 3, 1940 in Sevierville, Tennessee to the late Noah and Letha Mann Ellison.

She is preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Dale Ellison.

Christine was a member of the Nebo First Baptist Church and was a former member of the “Sweet Adeline’s”, where she enjoyed singing. Christine and her husband Ned were co-owners of the Western Steer Steak House for over twenty years and later worked for Walmart until her retirement. She loved her family and always looked forward to Sunday dinners after church.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of sixty-three years, Ned A. Craig; two children, Jeff Craig (Allisyn) and Naomi Craig; one sister, Betty Troutman; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Nebo First Baptist Church with Reverend Doug Worley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service at the Nebo First Baptist Church Cemetery.
