Charlotte Eugenia Murphy

Charlotte Eugenia Hawkins Murphy, age 74, of Marion, NC passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Autumn Care of Marion.

Mrs. Murphy was born October 12, 1943 in McDowell County, NC to the late Glenn McKinnley Hawkins and Helen Williams Hawkins. 

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. Murphy and her brother, Dean Hawkins.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her son, Jerry Lee Murphy and wife, Debbie of Marion.

Also surviving Mrs. Murphy are four siblings, Donald Hawkins and wife, Freddie of Marion, David Hawkins and wife, Alice of Marion, Dennis Hawkins and wife, Joyce of Marion and Helen Truett of Nebo; four nephews; and three nieces.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory.  A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Preacher Dennis Hensley officiating.  Burial will follow the service at West Court Cemetery.
