Mr. Charles Marion Sisk, 80, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, March 03, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on January 30, 1941 in McDowell County to the late Elbert Sisk and Bessie Patton Sisk.
Charles was a member of Sugar Hill Baptist Church. He worked as a welder and retired as a supervisor at Marion Machine after 39 years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, and he enjoyed fishing and camping. Charles loved the outdoors, and he volunteered at the Linville Falls Campground for 8 years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three siblings, Alvin Sisk, Maxine Allison, and Sam Sisk.
He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Dianna Durkee Sisk; three children, Donna Elliott (Roger), Melissa Sigmon (Dennis), Keith Sisk (Jennifer); five grandchildren, Amanda, Christopher, Jennifer, Justin, and Cainnan; four great grandchildren; three siblings, Gladys Hudson, Della Burnette (Roy), and Jerry Sisk (Pam); a number of nieces and nephews; and his faithful companions, Little Man, Lily, and Poke.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 06, 2021 in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Michael Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sugar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery where honors will be rendered by the United States Navy.
