Charles Edward Means, 80, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Monday evening, April 05, 2021 at his residence.
A native of McDowell County, he was born on June 18, 1940 to the late Arthur Young and Christine Means.
Charles was a hard worker and was a dedicated employee at Marion Manufacturing for many years. He loved to listen to music and was an avid fan of the Carolina Tarheels, but fishing was his passion. He also loved to read, especially sports books and the McDowell News.
Charles was a very kindhearted, faithful man who will be remembered as a great friend. He loved everyone, and they truly loved him back.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Means, Sr.
He is survived by his sister, Imogene Means and special nieces and nephews, Fleta Fleming (DaRon), Larry Means, Jr., Eric Means, and Sharon Miller.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 08, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Rev. Alice Murphy will officiate.
The family would like to thank everyone for their calls, cards, food, and prayers. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
