Charles "Juke" Wright

Charles “Juke” Wright, age 79, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday March 08, 2017 at Mission Hospital’s Memorial Campus in Asheville.  The son of the late Charles and Fannie Smith Wright, Juke was born in Burke County, North Carolina on March 28, 1937. 

Juke, who had retired from John’s Precision Auto Body in Marion, enjoyed fishing, camping and dirt track racing.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Parker Wright; five children, Allen Wright, Larry Wright and wife Jennifer, Shirley “Cricket” Bailey and husband Todd, Angel Sims and husband Jeff; and Jeff Wright and wife Renee.  Juke is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service in Marion. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. on Friday at Bethlehem Community Cemetery in Old Fort with Rev. Randy Metcalf officiating.
