Charles L. James

Charles L. James, age 75, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the McDowell Hospital.  A native of Caldwell County, North Carolina, born on September 17, 1942, he was the son of the late Charlie James and Bertha Presnell James.  He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Dallas James, Doug James and Pete James.

A loving father, grandfather, and brother, Charles was a friend to all he came in contact with; and in his spare time, he enjoyed fishing.  He was a member of Dysartsville Baptist Church. 

Charles is survived by two daughters, Sharon King and Rachel Hensley; four grandchildren, Virgil James, Megan Styles, Nikki Styles and Oddie Balderas; two great grandchildren; and two sisters, Linda Jones and Lisa Shaw. 

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. John Cope officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
