Charles Edward Barksdale

Charles Edward Barksdale, age 49, of Marion, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Mission Hospital-McDowell. A native of Forsyth County, Charles was born on October 6, 1969 to the late Patricia Harden Barksdale.

Charles volunteered at the History Museum of Burke County and attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Valdese, North Carolina. He enjoyed cooking and helping others, but loved his family the most.

Charles is survived by his siblings, Kevin Barksdale (Kris), John Barksdale, Catherine Barksdale and Julia Rice, a host of nieces and nephews and his good friend Charles Richardson.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Queen Street Club, 923 East Union Street, Morganton, North Carolina 28655. A time of fellowship will follow the service.
