Cecil Wayne Mosteller

Cecil Wayne Mosteller, age 63, of Marion, North Carolina passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Charles George VA Medical Center. A native of McDowell County, Cecil was born on June 19, 1955 to the late Robert and Aileen Mosteller Nelson.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Nelson.

Cecil was a proud United States Army Veteran and was known as a hard worker his entire life. He enjoyed studying history, but mostly military history. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by one daughter, Amanda Nicole Mosteller; four siblings, Steve Rogers, Ruth Buchanan, Keith Hensley and John Nelson. Also surviving Cecil are two grandchildren, Brenton Lyle Burke and Lucille Adelina Elliott.

A service to celebrate Cecil’s life will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army.
