Cathy Clark

On the morning of Thursday, June 22, 2017, while surrounded by her loving family, Cathy Boone Clark, age 62, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville. 

A native of McDowell County, North Carolina, born January 07, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Raye Boone. 

A loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Cathy is survived by three children, Christopher “Alex” McCormick and his wife, Natasha of Glenwood, Heather Goniea and her husband, Ralph of Marion; and Kevin McCormick of Marion; one sister, Patricia Lowery and her husband, Donald of Nebo; and two grandchildren, Liam O’Donnell and Sierra McCormick.  She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews, and a special cousin, Debbie Barlowe.

A funeral service to honor the life of Miss Cathy will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Cross Memorial Baptist Church in Marion with Rev. Ryan Bennett officiating.  Interment will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
