Catherine Ellen Tuttell

Catherine (Kay) Ellen Tuttell, 89, of Fuquay Varina, NC, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, in Marion, NC. 

Born in New York City to the late John and Marie Feehan, she was a longtime resident of St. Cloud, FL, and was a licensed practical nurse for 35 years working in St. Cloud and Kissimmee, FL. She was a former member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in St. Cloud, FL. 

A compassionate caregiver, Catherine was also known for her sharp sense of humor and ability to make friends. She enjoyed playing bingo, visiting her friends, and bragging about her children. 

She is survived by a daughter, Maryellen Tuttell (John Minton) of Poulsbo, WA; five sons, John P. Tuttell (Laurie) of Tacoma, WA; Robert (Geri) Tuttell of Fuquay Varina, NC; Richard Tuttell (Patricia Tallent) of Marion, NC; Thomas Tuttell of Fuquay Varina, NC; and William (Wit) Tuttell (Chris) of Fuquay Varina, NC.  She is also survived by two nieces, Marie Dolan of Orlando, FL, and
 Maryanne D’Amato of North Salem, NY; and three nephews, Edward Murphy of Ottery St. Mary, England, Daniel Murphy of New York City, NY; and Joseph Feehan of St. Cloud FL; a sister-in-law, Elinor Tietz of St. Cloud, FL; seven grandchildren and two great-grandsons. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 19 years John Joseph Tuttell, twin sister Nancy Murphy, and brother John (Jack) Feehan. 

In keeping with Catherine's wishes, no services are planned. Beam Funeral Service of Marion, NC is handling arrangements.
