Carolyn "Jean" McIntosh

Mrs. Carolyn “Jean” Fox McIntosh, age 56, unexpectedly departed from this world on Saturday, November 09, 2019 at her home in Nebo. The daughter of the late Francis Fox and Ann Brown Fox, she was born in Yancey County on August 30, 1963,

Jean enjoyed spending most of her time outdoors with her family, especially on the beach. She was an animal lover having had a fondness of all creatures big or small and was constantly thinking of how she could help others. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Jean leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband of twenty-one years, Larry McIntosh; three children, Jennifer McIntosh, Tina Warren (Greg), and Leah McIntosh; seven siblings, Frances Ann Griffith, Delores Street, Helen Harris, Juanita Mason, Zeb Fox, Franklin Fox, and Misty Maza. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, who were her world, Ashlyn Beaty, Riley Warren, and Raegan Warren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Jean’s life will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019, at 4:30 P.M. at Lighthouse Baptist Church with Reverend Randy Arrowood officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30 P.M. until 4:30 P.M., one hour prior to the service at the church.
