Carolyn Ann Hall Silver, age 73, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday morning, August 03, 2021 at her residence.
She was born in Bessemer City on September 14, 1947 to the late Horace Hall and Gypsy Ball Hall.
Affectionately known as Nanny to everyone she met, she was always thinking and doing for others. Above all, she loved the Lord and was a member of Dysartsville Baptist Church. Nanny was an excellent cook and was known for her homemade biscuits. Mostly, she loved spending time with her family and would do anything for them.
She is survived by her two daughters, Ronda Patton (James) and Diane Cole; six grandchildren, Jessi Engle, Rebekah Wright (Aaron), Lacey Kelley (Dustin), Michael Kelley (Kellie), Katelin Willis (Josh), and Genna Thompson (Christopher); seven great grandchildren; one brother, Jake Hall (Mary); and two sisters, Rachel Honeycutt (Chuck) and Faye Ann Hall.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 07, 2021 at Dysartsville Baptist Church at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. John Cope officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills or Dysartsville Baptist Church.
The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Carolina Foothills for all the wonderful care during Mrs. Silver’s illness.
