Carol Pittman

Carol McCurry Pittman, age 55, of the Turkey Cove Community, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville.  The daughter of the late Mary Anna McCurry, she was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on November 30, 1961.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her brother, Tony Scott McCurry.

A loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Carol was a faithful member of Remnant Freewill Baptist Church where she enjoyed spending time with her church family.  Carol loved to travel with her family and friends, but she took great pride in spending time with her grandsons.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Crystal Pittman Reel; one sister, Darlene Lee and her husband, Greg; and her three precious grandsons, Trenton, Keegen and Preston Reel.  She is also survived by a number of aunts, uncles, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 01, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Pastor Kenny Schultz officiating.  Interment will follow at Remnant Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
