Carol Jane McFalls Hensley

Carol Jane McFalls Hensley, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away on April 18, 2025, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. Born on September 2, 1949, in McDowell County, she lived a life rich with love, compassion, and dedication.

Carol was known for her caring and giving nature, embodying the spirit of a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a great passion for gardening and found joy in nurturing plants and flowers, which reflected her vibrant personality. A member of West Court Baptist Church, her faith played an essential role in her life. She enjoyed going to church and listening to gospel music.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Jim Hensley; her sons, James Hensley and Scott Hensley; her brother, Billy McFalls; and her grandchild, Shelby Hensley. Carol's love for her family was unparalleled, and her memory will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, George McFalls and Nancy Wilson McFalls.

A visitation in her honor will take place on April 23, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Both services will be held at Sugar Hill Baptist Church, located at 657 Mud Cut Rd, Marion, NC 28752. Rev. Michael Robinson will officiate the service. Burial will follow at West Court Cemetery. 

She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
