Carmen Eileen Worley Hall, 55, of Marion, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
Carmen was born on August 19, 1967 to Rev. Douglas Worley and Eva Mae King Worley. She was of the Baptist faith and attended many churches with her family and her husband as he pastored. She was a pianist and often lead the choir at the churches they served. Carmen was employed with the McDowell County School System for over twenty- two years. Baking and crocheting were some of the things she loved and enjoyed doing. Carmen and her husband Jeff have been together forty years having started dating when they were sixteen years old. She was a devoted wife, mother and Grammy.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jasper Miles Lawing.
Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Doug and Eva Worley, her husband Jeff Hall and her two daughters, Jessica Worthy (Andrew) and Lindsay Lawing; her siblings, Rhonda Worley, Evette Hagan (Kevin) and Jennifer Sass (Paul); two grandchildren, Juniper Morgan Lawing and Elizabeth Leigh Worthy.
A private service and graveside burial will be held at a later date.
An informal celebration of memories for family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, in the fellowship hall of the Nebo First Baptist Church from 2:00 until 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at 26 Broadway 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
