Carl Smith

Mr. Carl Smith, age 83, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, August 26th, 2020 in Old Fort. 

Carl was raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and loved to travel.  He never forgot where he was raised and had an avid love for hoagies, jelly beans, and the Philadelphia Eagles.  Carl loved cooking, gardening, landscaping his yard, decorating for the holidays, and loved singing and dancing to his idol, James Brown.  Carl was a generous man and would help anyone in need.  He loved hanging out with his grandkids when he retired from Mission Hospital.

Carl left behind numerous friends and family, including his wife of 32 years, Bea Smith, three step children, Letitia O’Neil (Pete) of Old Fort, TC Lindsay (Heather) of Old Fort and Latoya Godfrey (John) of Marion; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

In respect for Carl’s wishes, his celebration of life will be private, with family only.
