Carl Edwin Allison

 Carl Edwin Allison, 86, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at his residence.

 Carl was born in McDowell County, NC on June 11, 1938 to the late Lloyd Tice Allison and Grace Mae Allison. He was married to his beloved wife of 62 years, Annie Mae Briggs Allison, who passed away in 2021. Carl was an avid softball player who played for the McDowell Rec Old Timer’s League. He was a very humble and quiet man who took particular pride in woodworking. Most of all, Carl loved the Lord and his family. He will be greatly missed. 

 In addition to his wife and parents, Carl was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Jerry, and Tommy. 

 He is survived by two daughters, Crystal Allison and Cheryl Allison Birch (Jesse); a brother, Bobby Lee Allison (Vaughtie); four grandsons, Darren Jones, Michael Jones (Stephanie), Dylan Jones, and Kellen Lindsay (Hannah Thom); two great granddaughters; a special friend, Johnny Patton; and several nieces and nephews. 

 In accordance with Carl’s wishes, a private inurnment will be conducted at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
