Bula Dean Stafford Blackwell

Bula Dean Stafford Blackwell 80, of Marion, passed away on the morning of Thursday, February 9, 2023 at her residence.

Bula was born in Avery County to the late Glenn Stafford and Josephine Burleson Stafford on September 20, 1942. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William Carroll Blackwell.

She was a member of Hefner Memorial Baptist Church where she enjoyed playing the piano and singing in the church. She loved her sweets and her cats, but her family was her world. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Bula is survived by three children, David Carroll Blackwell (Tina), Christopher Scott Blackwell and Darrin Jeffrey Blackwell; a sister, Emma Jean Gibson; two grandchildren, Ashley Brooke Smith and Christa Michelle Causby and a great grandson, Nolan Reid Causby.

A graveside service will be held at Yellow Mountain Cemetery in Avery County on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 1:00 pm with the Rev. David Edwards officiating.
