On the night of Monday, March 13, 2017, and just 35 hours and 55 minutes following the passing of his loving wife, Mr. Buddy “Paw” Dobson, age 82, of Marion, went home to be with the Lord and join his wife, Frances “Granny” Dobson, in their heavenly home. The son of the late Jessie Cole Dobson, he was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on May 28, 1934.
A man who never met a stranger, Buddy enjoyed farming and mowing grass; and often times helped others with his tractor and farm equipment. For 44 years, a devoted employee at Marion Manufacturing, Buddy later worked at the McDowell County Convenience Center in Nebo.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., two hours prior to the service, at the funeral home.
