Bryan “Butch” Orman Holley, Jr., age 70, of Marion, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville, North Carolina with his family by his side.
He is preceded in death by a daughter that he missed dearly, Belinda LaShea Holley.
He had given a good fight in his battle with cancer. Butch was the husband of Tina Marie Holley, with whom he shared over thirty-five wonderful years. Born in Alexandria, Virginia, Butch joined the service and served his country honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was decorated with the National Defense Service Medal, Driver’s Badge Vietnam Service Medal with four bronze stars, Sharpshooter (rifle) and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. His family brought him to Marion, North Carolina thirty years ago where he established a well-known business, Custom Drywall. He took great pride in the quality of all his work. He thoroughly enjoyed the deer hunting seasons, some fishing and spending quality time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed having great fun with his auction family.
Butch is survived by his wife, Tina Marie Holley; a daughter, Crystal Marie Holley and one son, Bryan Orman Holley, III and his wife Dalee; two beautiful granddaughters, Michala LaShea Eller and Peyton Shea Holley and one brother, Warren “Mark” Holley and wife Jeri.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. A funeral service to celebrate Butch’s life will take place on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Beam Funeral Service with Reverend Pete McComb officiating. Interment with military honors will take place following the service at McDowell Memorial Park.
