Brittney Burden Bumgardner

Brittney Burden Bumgardner, age 31, of Old Fort, North Carolina was taken much too soon Monday, May 14, 2018.

Brittney was born September 10, 1986 in Marietta, GA.  She was a wonderful mother and loved her two children dearly.  Another passion of hers was her animals.

She is also preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Mike Burden.

Left behind to cherish Brittney’s memories are her two beloved daughters, Summer and Sarah Sprouse of Forest City, NC; her parents, Debra Banner and husband, Donnie Whitson of Old Fort, NC and Chuck Burden and wife, Lisa of Nebo; maternal grandparents, Sue Moffitt and husband, Alan of Old Fort, NC and Roy Banner of Lincolnton, NC; paternal grandmother, Linda Burden of Chester, SC; her twin brother, Brandon Burden and girlfriend, Kelly Berney of Marion, NC; her sister, Ashley Burden and boyfriend, Tom Berg of Morganton, NC; two step-sisters, Valerie Whitson of Morganton, NC and Katlyn Huntsinger of Nebo, NC; nieces and nephew, Emma and Ayden Hollifield and Skylar and Alexis Burden; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Cherry Springs Baptist Church.  A memorial service to celebrate Brittney’s life will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Marty Conner officiating.
