Brian Christopher Daniel "CD"

Brian Christopher Daniel “CD”, age 49, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away at his residence on the night of Wednesday, December 12, 2018.  The son of the late Charles and Annie Minnie Montgomery Daniel, he was born in McDowell County on January 30, 1969.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Luther Daniel.

He was a graduate of Western Carolina University with a Graphics Design and Visual Arts degree and also held an Associate of Applied Science degree with a concentration in Graphics from McDowell Technical Community College. He was known to his family as Chris and to his business associates and friends as CD. He was a man of many talents and interests. Professionally he was a Production Manager at Sew Co as well as Diamond Brand Gear in Hendersonville; and a display artist and sales representative at Satellite Gallery in Asheville.

Over the last fifteen years he has been affiliated with corporations and groups such as Eagle Market Streets Development Corporation, Lost Objects Found Treasures, Orange Peel, Jaymunda, Leaf, Professional Sertifield Staffing, and IBM. He was a member of Catawba View Missionary Baptist Church. He sang in many diferent groups and organized the group Diserà. He had the voice of an angel and loved to dance. He was a truly loving and kind soul.

CD is survived by twelve siblings, Valerie Hamilton, Brenda Mathes, Harold Daniels (Christina), Richard Daniel (Mary), Anthony Daniel, Teresa Daniel, Rufus Daniel (Felecia), Tony Daniel (Audrey), Marilyn Logan, Eunice Daniel, Beverly McMillan (Roland) and Travis Daniel.  He is also survived by, three aunts; one uncle; several, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. 

A celebration of CD’s life will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service in Marion.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
