Brenda Joan Mason Walker

Brenda Joan Mason Walker, age 75 of Old Fort, North Carolina passed away on the morning of Thursday, September 1, 2022.

Brenda was born in McDowell County on October 31, 1946 to the late Sam Mack Mason and the late Ethel Beatrice Burgin Mason.  She was a member of Living Waters Tabernacle and volunteered with Samaritans Purse assisting with the Christmas Shoe Boxes. Brenda enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, camping, and shooting. She was known as a loving mother and grandmother.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Henry Walker and her twin sister, Linda Jean Mason Davis.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Todd Walker (Lesa) and Michelle Young (Richard); three grandchildren, Jessica, Justin, and Tyler; and two great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Joanna.

In keeping with Brenda’s wishes a private funeral will be held at a later date.
