Brenda Jean Hutchins-Bledsoe, 74, of Nebo, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021, at her residence.
Brenda was born in Morganton, North Carolina on November 1, 1947 to the late Dewey E. Hutchins and Tassie Ledford Hutchins. Brenda was a quality control specialist at Continental in Morganton, where she retired after many years of dedicated service. She was a member of Dysartsville Baptist Church. Brenda was fond of flowers and enjoyed making floral arrangements. Most of all, she enjoyed babysitting her great nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Ray Hutchins and Clarence E. Hutchins; and a brother-in-law, Haden Rose.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Larry Bledsoe II of the home; two sisters, Evelyn Rose of Nebo and Verda Newton and husband Phil of Forest City; a brother, Rev. Harold Hutchins and wife Rita of Blackwell, Oklahoma; three nephews, Randy Newton and wife Tammy of Forest City, Nathan Rose and Haley of Nebo, and Wade Hutchins and wife Brandi of Oklahoma; two nieces, Rachel Hutchins and Elaine Hutchins, both of Oklahoma; her great nieces and nephews, Chloe and Gavin Newton, Brantley Rose, Gabriella, William, and Evelyn Hutchins. Brenda also leaves behind her fiancé, Donald Rouse.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service in Marion. Rev. Ray Ledford will officiate. Interment will follow at Big Crabtree Baptist Church Cemetery in Spruce Pine.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
