Bonnie Jackson

 Bonnie Rebecca Raffield Jackson, 97, of Marion, passed away Friday, August 30, 2024 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace center in Asheville.

 Bonnie was born in Old Fort, NC on February 7, 1927, to the late Thomas Elbert Raffield and Margaret Cordell Raffield. She was married to the late Rev. Allen L. Jackson, who was her husband of more than fifty years and a Free Will Baptist pastor. She enjoyed poetry, gardening, and working with her flowers. Bonnie was an animal lover who enjoyed shopping. She touched the hearts of many throughout the years and will be greatly missed. 

 Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Allen J. Jackson; her sister, Margie Mason; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved canine companion, Maggie. 

 A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler. Rev. Richard Anderson will officiate.
