Bonnie Morelock Hicks

     Bonnie Morelock Hicks, 64, of Marion, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Mission Hospital McDowell.

     Bonnie was born in Rogersville, Tennessee on December 3, 1957, to the late Reevie and Silvine Morelock. She was married to her husband of forty years, Joseph Hicks. Throughout her life, Bonnie was a very strong willed hard worker. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, and cooking. For leisure, she enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets. Most of all, Bonnie enjoyed reading her bible and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.

     In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by two brothers, Donnie and Tommy Morelock.

     Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Joe Hicks; three daughters, Rebecca Hicks, Krystal Jackson (Jeremey); and Jessica Hicks, all of Marion; a sister, Connie Strong, of Gate City, VA; three brothers, Onnie Morelock, Robert Morelock (Mary), and Ronnie Morelock, all of Rogersville, TN; and a granddaughter, Jordyn Jackson of Asheville.

     The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at the home of Rebecca Hicks, 457 CE Goode Rd., Marion, NC 28752.
