Boe Gilliam

Boe Gilliam, age 79, of Black Mountain, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at his residence.

He was born in Buncombe County on June 22, 1942 to the late Howard Gilliam and Viola Davis Gilliam.

Boe was a loving father and a good friend to many. He was very proud of his family and the Gilliam name. He enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. He honorably served in the United States Navy.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two children, Jeffrey H. Gilliam and Tami Gilliam Fox.

He is survived by two children, Betty Boles-Vanover (Steve) and Aaron M. Gilliam, Jr.; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and four siblings, David Gilliam, Mickey Gilliam, Betty Sue O’Keefe, and Kathleen Regan.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 04, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Cherry Springs Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
