Bobby E. Beam

Bobby E. Beam, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at his residence with is loving family by his side.  A resident of the Glenwood Community, Bobby was born in Lucas County, Ohio on August 10, 1945 to the late Donald and Marion Runion Beam. 

An avid NASCAR fan, which he was a strong supporter of both Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Bobby enjoyed farming and raised not only vegetables, but many animals. He took pleasure in riding his John Deere tractor.  Bobby was a veteran of the United States Army where he proudly served in Vietnam. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Donna Lynn Beam; and one brother, Ronnie Beam.

He is survived by is loving wife of 46 years, LaNelle Aldridge Beam; one daughter, Paula Beam (Kelly); one step-son, Bryan Aldridge; one sister, Denise Taylor (Hank); and one brother, David Beam (Debbie).  Bobby is also survived by three grandchildren, Donavon Beam, Kelbey Howard (Austin) and Dakota Roper; and his great granddaughter, “Paw’s Monkey”, Addilyn Jayde Ward, who was the light of his life. 

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 14, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Pastor Cy Miller and Dr. Dennis Love officiating.  Interment, with military honors provided by the United States Army, will follow at Beam Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
