Billy Joe Roberts

     Billy Joe Roberts, 68, of Marion, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023, at his residence.

     Mr. Roberts was born in Black Mountain, NC on July 5, 1954, to the late Helen Worley and Floyd Roberts. He was married to the late Wilma Roberts. He was a talented rock mason who enjoyed working on small engines and watching the Andy Griffith Show. Mr. Roberts was known as a good ole country boy who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He will be greatly missed.

     In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and David Roberts; and four sisters, Eleanor Harris, Elma Melton, Rosa Burgin, and Ruth Creasman.

     He is survived by a stepson, William Loftin (Pamela); two sisters, Mary Crook and Sally Roberts; two brothers, Steve Roberts and Kelley Roberts; and his two best friends, Wanda Fox and Roland Hudgins.

     A memorial service will be held at a later date.
