Bill R. Burleson

Bill R. Burleson, age 74, of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.  A native of Mitchell County, North Carolina, born March 16, 1942, he was the son of the late Milton and Dolly King Burleson.

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by one son, Gary Burleson.

He is survived by his former wife, Geraldine H. Burleson of Marion; one brother, Arthur Greene of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and a number of sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Burleson will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Eric Grindstaff officiating.
